Job summary

Leidos is seeking a DevOps Engineer for the Intelligence Sector’s Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). You will focus on platform architecture, automation, and cloud infrastructure to support a mission-critical program for Warfighter operations.

Responsibilities include building release pipelines, automating deployments, and configuring tools like Puppet, Ansible, Jira, and Confluence, with emphasis on security, PCI compliance, and scalable architectures across AWS and PaaS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 8+ years of technical experience including 5 years in DevOps.
• Experience with Git and version control best practices.
• Strong Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows system administration.
• Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment.
• Experience with caching technologies and databases (Memcache/Redis, MySQL, Elasticsearch).
• Familiarity with security practices, networking, PCI compliance.
• Experience with AWS cloud or virtualized servers in PaaS environments.
• Programming in Ruby, C/C++, Go, Python, or Java; understanding of OOP.
• Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.

The role focuses on platform architecture, automation, and cloud infrastructure for a mission‑critical program that supports the Warfighter. This position is eligible for a $25,000 sign‑on bonus.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and at least 8 years of technical experience, including 5 years in DevOps.
• Fluent with Git and version control best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows system administration.
• Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment.
• Expertise with caching technologies (e.g., Memcache, ActiveMQ, Redis, APC), MySQL (Clusters, Replication, Tuning), and Elasticsearch (Kibana a plus).
• Familiarity with security practices, networking protocols, firewalls, and PCI compliance.
• Experience with Agile development environments and managing AWS cloud or virtualized servers in PaaS environments.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Ruby, C/C++, Go, Python, or Java) and understanding of object‑oriented programming.
• Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
