Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer in Los Angeles to lead automation, deployment, and maintenance of scalable applications. You will design CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure with IaC, and ensure secure, reliable operations across environments.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, strong Linux skills, and expertise with Docker/Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and IaC tooling, with a focus on production stability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years hands-on DevOps experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and IaC workflows.
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems, containers, and cloud platforms.

We are looking for a senior DevOps Engineer to create and support the development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable and reliable applications. The role involves automating infrastructure, improving CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system stability, security, and performance across environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Manage cloud platforms and ensure high availability and scalability
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline releases
• Implement security best practices across applications and infrastructure
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
• Maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and standards
• Support incident management, deployments, and release activities

Required Skills

• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration
• Expert with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, or similar)
• Understanding of networking, security, and monitoring concepts

Good to Have

• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Exposure to microservices architecture
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• 8+ Years of hands on experience
• The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $32.36/hour - $50.56/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
