*Description*
Project Context: The candidate will help complete and operationalize a new end-to-end governance process for Salesforce deployments at Block Imaging, involving GitHub (as source of truth), Gearset (for metadata deployments), and multiple Salesforce environments (Consolidate, UAT, Stage, PROD). They'll be responsible for enabling consistent, secure, and auditable promotion of changes using the defined branching and org promotion flow.
Core Knowledge Requirements
*Salesforce DevOps Architecture: Strong familiarity with modern Salesforce DevOps workflows, especially structured environments (e.g., scratch orgs, sandboxes, managed backflush to main).
*Gearset Expertise: Deep hands-on experience using Gearset to manage metadata deployments across environments. Candidate must be comfortable configuring Gearset CI jobs and resolving deployment failures.
*Git/GitHub Proficiency:
oGit branching strategies (feature, stage, main)
oGitHub Actions or other automation pipelines
oPull requests, reviews, and conflict resolution
*Salesforce Metadata Mastery: Deep understanding of how Salesforce metadata is stored, moved, and managed across orgs (custom objects, flows, profiles, permission sets, etc.).
*Release Management: Experience pushing changes through formal promotion paths requiring approvals (as shown in the map: DEV Consolidate UAT Stage PROD).
*Environment Strategy: Experience managing multiple Salesforce environments with distinct purposes (e.g., full copy vs. partial, consolidation orgs, demo sandboxes).
*Change Control Governance: Understanding of CAB (Change Advisory Board) approvals, structured deployment reviews, and backflush workflows from Stage to Main.
Key Responsibilities
*Implement and refine CI/CD pipelines that match Block Imaging's SF360 model.
*Configure and troubleshoot Gearset deployment pipelines between orgs.
*Define and enforce GitHub branching conventions (e.g., Vendor-UserID-ext-####) across contributors.
*Facilitate and support CAB approval workflows and assist with risk mitigation during deployment windows.
*Document the release process and train internal ForceMedic Design (FMD)/Block Imaging team members.
*Ensure metadata integrity across repo and environments.

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr.
