Job summary

Giftogram, a fast-growing rewards platform near Whippany, NJ, seeks a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure with a strong emphasis on deployments, automation, and CI/CD. You will collaborate with development teams to streamline pipelines, improve release velocity, and ensure high system availability.

This role owns IT foundations including IAM, MDM, and EDR, supports incident response, and maintains runbooks and docs.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of hands-on systems administration, DevOps, or infrastructure experience.
• Strong AWS experience with production environment.
• Solid Linux fundamentals, shell, networking, and performance troubleshooting.
• Proficient with scripting and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, routing, DNS, VPN).
• Security mindset and least privilege principles.
• Direct experience operating an MDM and an EDR platform in production.

Position Summary :
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure with a strong emphasis on deployments, automation, and CI/CD. This role prioritizes enabling fast, reliable software delivery while maintaining high system availability and performance. You will work closely with development teams to streamline deployment pipelines, improve release velocity, and enforce infrastructure best practices. This role will also have you own the IT foundations (identity, devices, endpoint security) that support a growing technical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and manage AWS-based Linux infrastructure for scalable application deployments
• Partner with engineering on CI/CD pipelines , deployment tooling, and developer environments
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application delivery using Infrastructure as Code
• Maintain system reliability, monitoring, and alerting for production services
• Respond to infrastructure incidents, write clear postmortems, and drive the follow-ups
• Administer our IAM , MDM and EDR platforms tuning, triage, and incident response
• Support the team with IT questions and triage vendor issues when needed
• Maintain clear runbooks, architecture docs, and internal documentation

Required Qualifications:

• 4–5+ years of hands-on systems administration, DevOps, or infrastructure experience
• Strong AWS experience, you’ve operated a real production environment.
• Solid Linux fundamentals, shell, system, networking, permissions, performance troubleshooting, package management
• Proficient with scripting and automation, you automate instead of repeating yourself
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Working knowledge of networking (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, DNS, VPN)
• A security mindset, least privilege, blast radius, audit trails, and “what could go wrong” are instincts, not checklists
• Direct experience operating an MDM and an EDR platform in production

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 2701, HIPAA)
• AWS certifications (SysOps, Solutions Architect, Security Specialty) are a plus but not required

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000

• Annual Discretionary Bonus: up to 10%
