A technology solutions provider is looking for a Chef DevOps Engineer at L2/L3 level in Denver, Colorado. The role involves active participation in the design and implementation of large-scale infrastructure, developing and supporting Chef Cookbooks, and extensive experience with AWS and Terraform. Ideal candidates will also have scripting skills in Python and Shell, working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, and hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years overall cloud experience.

Role - Chef Devops Engineer L2/L3 Level
Active participation in design , implementation of large scale infrastructure.
Develop and support Chef Cookbook.
Experience on on Inspec and Test Kitchen.
Experience on Chef Vaults , Roles , Environments and Runlist in CHEF.
Develop and support Jenkins pipeline.
Chef Client troubleshooting on RHEL and Windows.
Assistance on Chef Client Deployment and related Incidents.
Support Chef Infrastructure.
Understanding CI/CD pipeline and code development process.
Basic Knowledge on Linux and Windows Server.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code.
Willingness to practice DevOps Principle.
Good verbal and written communication skills Additional Skills - Experience on GitHub, Service Now, JIRA.

Terraform
1) Minimum 10 years overall cloud exp with minimum 7 yrs experience on aws cloud. Minimum 5 yrs exp in terraform.
2) Mature enough to understand the importance of application architecture in coding to terraform and understand what services connect to what. Experience working in a large project setting understanding how diff modules of an app work with each other. Preferably has worked in microservices architecture setting.
3) Experience beyond ec2, s3 etc Should have extensively worked on multiple aws projects.
4) Very strong with aws IAM policies, roles and permissions.
5) Expert with git and branching technologies. Knowledge beyond just basic branching. Should be well versed with releases, squashing, merging, pull requests, roll-backs.
6) Hands on with terraform for AWS, module creation, maps, remote states , importing infra into terraform.
7) Hands on with consuming and connecting to API's. Should understand microservices architecture.
8) Hands on with python and shell scripting.
9) Hands on with azure repos and azure devops and integration of azure devops to aws via terraform.
