Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 in Austin, TX to drive DevOps initiatives across AWS and hybrid cloud environments. The role includes requirements elicitation, design discussions, and hands-on coding to enhance scalable software systems.

You will participate in end-to-end SDLC, implement robust CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to production stability. A Bachelor's degree and relocation readiness are preferred for this full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infra roles.
  • Deep AWS expertise: compute, networking, security, and storage.
  • AWS EMR mastery: configuring, optimizing, and managing EMR for large-scale data processing.
  • Kubernetes production experience (EKS).
  • Python programming for automation, tooling, and scripting.
  • CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Observability with monitoring/logging tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting parts of business requirements.
  • Facilitate software design discussions and document design decisions.
  • Participate in coding and integrate new features into existing applications.
  • Conduct code reviews and maintain code repositories.
  • Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes.
  • Develop user training, documentation, and support frameworks.
  • Resolve production issues and propose preventive strategies.
  • Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below
  • Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
  • Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
  • Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
  • Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
  • Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
  • Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
  • Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
  • Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill And Experience
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • Deep AWS Expertise: Strong architectural and operational experience with Amazon Web Services, including compute, networking, security, and storage.
  • AWS EMR Mastery: Proven, hands-on experience configuring, optimizing, and managing AWS Elastic MapReduce (EMR) for large-scale data processing.
  • Kubernetes Authority: Extensive experience building, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in production environments (e.g., EKS).
  • Python Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python for infrastructure automation, building internal tooling, and scripting.
  • CI/CD: Proficiency in building and maintaining pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • Observability: Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
  • General DevOps & Tooling: Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Preferred Skill And Experience
  • Highly articulate with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical challenges clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate seamlessly across diverse teams.
  • Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly isolate and resolve
Additional Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
