We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Developer with significant experience in the payments domain to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, system operations, and an in-depth understanding of payment systems. This role requires the candidate to seamlessly integrate and manage our software development and IT operations to improve the efficiency and reliability of our payment processing systems.

The Role

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development and deployment processes.
  2. Monitor and optimize the performance of the development and production environments.
  3. Work closely with software developers, QA engineers, and system administrators to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems.
  4. Facilitate communication and collaboration between development and operations teams.
  5. Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) or on-premise servers.
  6. Ensure high availability and scalability of payment processing systems.
  7. Implement security best practices to protect sensitive payment data.
  8. Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and increase efficiency.
  9. Implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  10. Respond to and resolve issues related to the payment system promptly.
  11. Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.
  12. Understand and manage the integration of various payment gateways and processors.
  13. Ensure compliance with relevant payment standards (PCI-DSS, PSD2, etc.).
  14. Optimize payment processing flows to enhance user experience and reduce transaction failures.

Requirements:

  1. Experience Range: 8 – 10 Years
  2. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
  3. Extensive experience with payment systems, gateways, and processors.
  4. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  5. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
  6. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
  7. Experience with microservices architecture.
  8. Knowledge of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  9. Familiarity with networking and security concepts.
  10. Certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps tools.

Preferred, but not required:

  1. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  2. Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  3. Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
  4. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  7. Strong Payment Domain experience required.
