A leading health technology company is seeking an experienced candidate to manage critical infrastructure related to Snowflake. The role involves collaborating with various teams and supporting operational excellence. Applicants should have a strong DevOps background with relevant technical skills and experience.
Location: Remote (For Non-Local) or Hybrid (Local to NYC area)
About the Role:
In the role, you will be responsible for critical activities associated with managing our infrastructure and collaborating with Snowflake users. This is a new position that will report directly to the Vice President of Information Technology.
Position Responsibilities:
Act as subject matter expert for all things Snowflake.
Assist partner teams strategically in adapting their processes, methodologies, and code to suit operational needs, for long-term supportability and stability.
Assist partner teams tactically in refining their data intake tasks, via query optimization, by creating stored procedures, etc., as needed, to optimize platform utilization and drive process efficiency, on a day-to-day level.
Collaborate with partner support teams to remediate production issues with high urgency.
Collaborate with the IT Security and Engineering teams to audit, document, and support RBAC on the platform.
Cross-train IT-Engineering and/or DevOps team members on routine Snowflake operational activities as needed for collaborative projects, integration work, and operational support coverage.
Drive cost and performance optimization on the Snowflake platform.
Partner with Analytics and Development teams to manage platform lifecycle and ensure process and procedure alignment across the organization.
Partner with the DevOps team on overlapping areas of responsibility, care/feeding of integration touchpoints, and for initial platform handoff.
Responsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance.
Qualifications / Profile:
5+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role
5+ years of experience with Terraform
3+ years of experience supporting AWS or other Cloud environments
3+ years of DBA experience, or 3+ years of extensive DB or query optimization experience in a DevOps or Developer role
3+ years of experience using Python in a DevOps or similar role
2+ years experience SQL
Experience with Agile methodologies
Ability to work in cross-functional teams
Extreme attention to detail and highly organized
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preference for those who have worked in the health care industry with a strong preference for Pharmacy Benefit Management expertise
This position description is designed to be flexible, allowing management the opportunity to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as needed to best meet organizational goals.
Salary Range
$130,000 - $155,000 USD
