Job summary

MSR COSMOS in American Fork, UT, is looking for a Senior Engineer to foster a can-do culture and drive innovation. You will design and build enterprise-class CI/CD pipelines and work on a next-generation cloud platform utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and more.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT and over 6 years of development experience. You will work with an agile team and help others while driving software quality through mentorship.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional enterprise development experience.

Location: American Fork UT

Experience with any Container Orchestration/Docker (Docker or Kubernetes or Swarm or Mesos or Cloud Foundry, etc.) is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• A strong desire to learn new things and continuously improve yourself and those around you with a “can do anything” mentality.
• Building enterprise‑class, highly available CI/CD pipelines from code in a highly elastic, cloud‑native environment.
• Building a next‑generation cloud platform based on Docker, Mesos, Kubernetes, Consul, Vault, and the Confluent Stack.
• Working on an agile team using test‑driven development to deliver the highest quality software possible.
• Ability to mentor & influence others; we are looking for a senior engineer to help us define and evolve our architecture.

Basic Requirements

• A 4-year college degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, Bachelor of Science preferred; master’s degree is nice to have.
• 6+ years of professional enterprise development experience.

Experience with one or more of the following

• Jenkins 2 (or similar) experience / Groovy.
• Automated testing tools / Continuous Integration.
• Scripting ability (Bash / Shell, Python, PERL, Ruby, etc).
• Postgres, Couchbase, or other NoSQL stacks.
• Automated testing of applications & Continuous Integration.

Nice to have qualifications

• Any additional experience or certifications that enhance your ability to perform the role.
