Job summary

Acara Solutions, Inc. is seeking a DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and secure cloud-based infrastructure for enterprise applications.

You will contribute to cloud architecture initiatives, DevSecOps practices, and emerging technologies, while collaborating with customers, project teams, and cybersecurity professionals. Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience administering Kubernetes-based clusters.
• Minimum 2 years network and operating system experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with CI/CD or CIC administration.

Responsibilities

• Support the architecture, design, development, implementation, and troubleshooting of cloud-based applications, platforms, and infrastructure solutions.
• Assist in adopting cloud best practices and DevSecOps, containerization, microservices, big data analytics, and AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT Security teams to ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Develop technical designs, documentation, and implementation plans for new solutions and system modifications.
• Gather requirements from customer stakeholders and provide project status updates.
• Utilize cloud and DevOps tools including GitLab, SonarQube, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux, and AWS/Azure/GCP environments.
• Independently manage tasks while contributing to a cross-functional team to deliver project objectives.

What You'll Do

• Support the architecture, design, development, implementation, and troubleshooting of cloud-based applications, platforms, and infrastructure solutions.
• Assist in the adoption of cloud best practices and technologies that enable DevSecOps, containerization, microservices, big data analytics, and AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with Information Technology Security teams to ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Develop preliminary and detailed technical designs, documentation, and implementation plans for new solutions, enhancements, and system modifications.
• Work directly with customer stakeholders and project teams to gather requirements, communicate technical solutions, and provide project status updates.
• Utilize and support cloud and DevOps tools and technologies, including GitLab, SonarQube, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux, and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform environments.
• Independently manage assigned tasks while contributing effectively within a cross-functional team environment to deliver project objectives.

What You'll Bring

• Experience managing/implementing server/clients with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Platforms and Federation Services (NetIQ, ADFS, Azure MFA, Keycloak, Red Hat SSO, Duo, SAML, etc.)
• Experience scaling applications based on user demand.
• Experience working with service-based architectures and Web APIs
• IAT Level 2 Certification (e.g. Security +).
• Experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, XML, XSLT, and JSON.
• Experience working and deploying on DOD networks including NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS
