DevOps Cloud Architect, Digital Engineering Solutions (Remote)

CDM Smith is seeking a DevOps Cloud Architect to join our Digital Engineering Solutions team. This role involves designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, facilitating CI/CD practices, and utilizing infrastructure as code (IaC) tools. The candidate should have extensive experience in cloud architecture, including security, scaling, and application migration, and be committed to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage cloud solutions on platforms like Microsoft Azure, including architecture, configuration, and resource management.
• Implement DevSecOps culture, pipeline automation, and architectural analysis; mentor development teams on best practices.
• Develop infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines in agile environments.
• Automate infrastructure using Bicep, ARM templates, and scripting languages such as PowerShell.
• Establish standards for cloud platforms, including security and identity management (Azure AD, RBAC).
• Monitor system performance, develop logging and alerting systems, and optimize cloud costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices and security compliance.
• Engage in research on emerging technologies and complex systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert AZ-304/AZ-500.

Travel may be required. This is a full-time, regular position with a salary range of $121,368 to $212,368. Remote or hybrid work options available.
