DevOps Cloud Architect, Digital Engineering Solutions (Remote)

CDM Smith is seeking a DevOps Cloud Architect to join our Digital Engineering Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud architecture, including security, scaling, integration, and application migration, and will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that facilitate CI/CD practices, utilizing infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, and promoting collaboration between development and operations teams.

The key responsibilities include:

1. Designing and managing cloud technologies, especially in Microsoft Azure and other platforms.
2. Implementing DevSecOps culture, pipeline automation, and architectural analysis.
3. Developing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines in an agile environment.
4. Leading infrastructure automation using Bicep, ARM templates, and scripting languages.
5. Promoting infrastructure as code practices and creating reusable solution patterns.
6. Implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for system health.
7. Establishing standards and guidelines across cloud platforms.
8. Configuring Azure Active Directory, RBAC, IAM, and security best practices.
9. Designing secure, scalable, and efficient cloud services based on business needs.
10. Engaging in research on complex systems, including serverless, networks, and disaster recovery.
11. Collaborating with IT operations, security, and architecture teams.
12. Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and a degree in software development or engineering.
