DevOps Cloud Architect, Digital Engineering Solutions (Remote)

CDM Smith is seeking a DevOps Cloud Architect to join our Digital Engineering Solutions team. This role involves designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, facilitating CI/CD practices, and utilizing infrastructure as code (IaC) tools. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud architecture, including security, scaling, and application migration, and will work collaboratively with development and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and manage cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure and other platforms, including architecture, configuration, and resource management.
2. Implement DevSecOps culture, pipeline automation, and mentor teams on best practices.
3. Develop infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines in agile environments.
4. Automate infrastructure deployment using Bicep, ARM templates, and scripting languages.
5. Establish standards for cloud platforms, security, and identity management (AAD, RBAC, IAM).
6. Monitor system performance and ensure security compliance.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud costs and performance.
8. Engage in research on complex systems like serverless and disaster recovery.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert AZ-304/AZ-500.
• Degree in software development, engineering, or related field.

Additional Information

This position is full-time, with options for remote or hybrid work. Travel may be required. Salary range: $121,368 - $212,368. No visa sponsorship available. The role requires proficiency in Azure, IaC, scripting, security, and architecture design, along with excellent communication skills.
