DevOps Cloud Architect, Digital Engineering Solutions (Remote)

CDM Smith is seeking a DevOps Cloud Architect to join our Digital Engineering Solutions team. This role involves designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that facilitate CI/CD practices, utilizing infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, and ensuring collaboration between software development and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud architecture, including security, scaling, and application migration, with a focus on innovative technologies in the AEC industry.

The key responsibilities include:

1. Designing and managing cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure and other platforms.
2. Implementing DevSecOps culture, pipeline automation, and architectural analysis.
3. Developing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines in agile environments.
4. Automating infrastructure with Bicep, ARM templates, and scripting languages.
5. Promoting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and creating reusable solutions.
6. Monitoring system performance and establishing standards for cloud platforms.
7. Configuring Azure Active Directory, RBAC, IAM, and ensuring security compliance.
8. Analyzing business needs to design secure, scalable cloud services.
9. Engaging in multidisciplinary research on complex systems.
10. Collaborating with IT operations and security teams to ensure best practices.
11. Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.
12. Optimizing cloud costs and resource utilization.
13. Working with multicultural teams across different time zones.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, 8 years of relevant experience, and willingness to travel as needed. Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and a degree in software development or engineering.
