DevOps Cloud Architect, Digital Engineering Solutions (Remote)

CDM Smith is seeking a DevOps Cloud Architect to join our Digital Engineering Solutions team. The role involves designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, facilitating CI/CD practices, utilizing infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, and ensuring collaboration between software development and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud architecture, including security, scaling, integration, and application migration, with a focus on continuous advancement and measurable results.

The key responsibilities include:

1. Understanding cloud technologies, including design patterns, planning, configuration, and resource management in Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms.
2. Developing DevSecOps culture, integrating pipelines, and mentoring development teams on best practices.
3. Designing and developing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines in agile environments.
4. Spearheading infrastructure automation using Bicep, ARM templates, and scripting languages like PowerShell.
5. Driving adoption of Infrastructure as Code practices to create reusable solutions.
6. Implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system performance and health.
7. Establishing standards and guidelines across cloud platforms in line with industry standards.
8. Configuring Azure Active Directory, RBAC, IAM, and related security practices.
9. Incorporating security best practices and ensuring compliance.
10. Analyzing business needs and designing secure, scalable, and efficient cloud services.
11. Engaging in multidisciplinary research on complex systems and collaborating with IT operations and security teams.
12. Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.
13. Optimizing cloud costs through resource utilization analysis.
14. Working with multicultural teams across different time zones.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered. Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and a degree in software development or engineering.

Additional details: This position is full-time, remote or hybrid, with a salary range of $121,368 - $212,368, and may require domestic or international travel. The role does not support visa sponsorship.
