DevOps Cloud Architect, Digital Engineering Solutions (Remote)

CDM Smith is seeking a DevOps Cloud Architect to join our Digital Engineering Solutions team. This individual will help design and implement cloud-based solutions, facilitate CI/CD practices, utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, and ensure collaboration between software development and operations teams. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in cloud architecture, including security, scaling, integration, and application migration, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

The key responsibilities include:

1. Designing cloud architectures and managing resources in Microsoft Azure and other platforms.
2. Implementing DevSecOps culture, pipeline automation, and architectural analysis.
3. Developing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines in agile environments.
4. Automating infrastructure using Bicep, ARM templates, and scripting languages like PowerShell.
5. Promoting IaC practices through reusable solutions and templates.
6. Setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
7. Establishing standards for cloud platforms and identity management.
8. Incorporating security best practices and ensuring compliance.
9. Analyzing business needs to design secure, scalable cloud services.
10. Researching complex systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
11. Communicating effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
12. Optimizing cloud costs and resource utilization.
13. Working with multicultural teams across time zones.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, 8 years of relevant experience, with equivalent additional experience considered. Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert AZ-304/AZ-500 and a degree in software development or engineering.
