Job summary

Cologix, a leading North America interconnection and edge data center company, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and monitor automation across core systems. You will help streamline processes, improve reliability, and support critical production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps.
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PHP, Perl, or Ruby.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• AWS architecture certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of new products and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with vendors, engineering teams, and operations to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
• Develop and establish standards, policies, and best practices for DevOps environments.
• Design simple, repeatable, and reliable solutions that streamline systems and workflows.
• Own release management activities to support controlled deployments.
• Establish, maintain, and support systems and tools across development and production environments.
• Develop and maintain version control processes and related documentation.
• Maintain a comprehensive documentation library for DevOps systems and procedures.
• Create technical documentation to enable knowledge transfer to support teams.
