Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Chief Architect – DevOps & Observability to define and drive enterprise-wide DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, and Observability standards. The candidate will bring hands-on expertise in DevOps, Cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC, and Observability to guide architecture decisions.

The role involves leading evaluations, building reusable automation, and partnering with multiple teams to adopt standards across the enterprise. Onsite Columbus, OH preferred.

Qualifications

• Define enterprise DevOps/DevSecOps standards and reference architectures.
• Lead CI/CD, IaC, Kubernetes, GitOps, security, and release practices.
• Set observability standards for metrics, logs, traces, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Define gold standards and golden paths for DevOps and DevSecOps enterprise-wide.
• Establish CI/CD, IaC, Kubernetes, GitOps, security, testing, and release standards.
• Define observability standards for metrics, logs, traces, and dashboards.
• Establish SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, KPIs, alerting, and telemetry.
• Evaluate new DevOps/Platform Tech and run POCs/POVs.
• Create reusable CI/CD templates, Terraform modules, and onboarding frames.
• Drive enterprise adoption of DevSecOps and Observability across teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Cloud, and Operations teams.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Architect – DevOps & Observability to define and drive enterprise-wide DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, and Observability standards. The ideal candidate will have strong enterprise architecture experience combined with hands‑on expertise in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Observability.

Key Responsibilities

• Define enterprise DevOps/DevSecOps Gold Standards, reference architectures, and Golden Paths.


• Establish standards for CI/CD, IaC, Kubernetes, GitOps, security, automated testing, and release management.


• Define enterprise Observability standards for metrics, logs, traces, APM, cloud, Kubernetes, APIs, and databases.


• Establish SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, KPIs, alerting, dashboards, and telemetry standards.


• Evaluate emerging DevOps, DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, and Observability technologies.


• Lead POCs/POVs, technology evaluations, and Build vs. Buy vs. Partner assessments.


• Create reusable CI/CD templates, Terraform modules, security integrations, dashboards, and onboarding frameworks.


• Drive enterprise adoption of DevSecOps and Observability standards across application and infrastructure teams.


• Partner with Engineering, Security, Cloud, Operations, and AIOps teams to implement and govern standards.
