Job summary

Humanoid in San Diego is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Platform Infrastructure team, building software for trusted boot, provisioning, and secure hardware integration with NVIDIA Jetson. You’ll collaborate across security, firmware, and platform teams to ship reliable software for HMND-01 humanoid platforms deployed in real industrial environments.

The role emphasizes Linux development, C++, Python, Rust, and scripting, with ownership from design through testing.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of full-time software development experience.
• Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and software design.
• Proficiency with C++, Python, and Rust; reading and reasoning about code.
• Experience with Linux scripting and tooling is a plus.
• Familiarity with device security, authentication, encryption, and cryptographic keys.
• Experience with NVIDIA platforms such as Jetson is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain software for trusted boot and device provisioning (UEFI, secure boot).
• Contribute to device trust and key protection using hardware roots of trust (TPMs).
• Contribute to device key management using HSMs.
• Write, test, and debug software in Linux; investigate cross-software/hardware issues.
• Identify and reduce attack surfaces across device software and boot flows.
• Collaborate with security, firmware, cloud, and manufacturing teams; own projects end-to-end.
