Job summary

Roblox in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Technology Support Specialist III to manage the physical lifecycle of hundreds of test devices across iOS, Android, Macs, PCs, and consoles. You will install, configure, and maintain devices in IDF racks while ensuring reliable operation for automated testing labs.

You will work with Engineering to follow runbooks, perform routine health checks, handle break/fix work, and coordinate with vendors on procurement and recycling. Local on-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on IT operations or device-lab management experience.
• Strong ability to configure and troubleshoot iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows devices.
• Experience with IDF-like lab environments, rack-and-stack, and cabling.

Responsibilities

• Receive, tag, inventory, and install devices into rack environments.
• Configure OS and network settings, enroll via MDM, and follow engineering specs.
• Run daily health checks and resolve device issues before testing slows.
• Provide break/fix support for hardware during business hours.
• Maintain accurate asset records, locations, hardware specs, and lifecycle stages.
• Coordinate device retirement and recycling, including data wipes.
• Support procurement by checking shipments against POs and vendor coordination.
• Participate in on‑call rotations for after-hours support.
