Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Device Integration Software System Architect to define strategy, architecture, and user experience for integrating intelligent devices within the Connected Enterprise ecosystem.

You will establish device management standards, align technology roadmaps, and enable customers to configure devices across automation systems. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the ITD Digital System Architecture and User Experience manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience required.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Define device data management standards and integration methodologies.
• Develop capability models and architecture frameworks for device integration.
• Simplify and improve the user experience for device configuration and management.
• Co-lead the Device Management Architecture roadmap with Software & Control.
• Lead device integration strategy across teams.
• Provide technical leadership for intelligent device, control system, and software architectures.
• Guide programs that improve product usability and customer outcomes.
• Support product development through requirements review and high-level design.
• Collaborate with architects and SMEs to create solutions.
• Define requirements for device profiles and application software.
