Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM seeks a skilled Cardiology Device Clinic Nurse to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care for patients with cardiac implantable devices, including pacemakers and defibrillators. The role involves interrogating and programming devices, reviewing remote transmissions, and coordinating follow-ups.

Qualifications

  • Associates of Science in Nursing required.
  • RN with NM license.
  • 1–2 years in critical care or electrophysiology.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • CIED program completion preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interrogates, evaluates and programs implanted cardiac devices for in-person patient encounters.
  • Recognizes device abnormalities and assists in scheduling follow-ups or replacements.
  • Processes documentation for CIED assessment and anticoagulation status.
  • Reviews and processes remote transmissions and telemonitoring alerts.
  • Provides cross-coverage within CIED department to satellite facilities.
