Walmart is expanding its refrigeration and HVAC maintenance team in New Hudson, MI. Developmental Technicians will perform inspections, basic repairs, and preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment under supervision to ensure safe, efficient store operations.

Candidates should have EPA 608 certification, a valid driver's license, and either 1 year of related trade experience or 2 years of Walmart store experience. The role is full-time with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Certification for refrigerant handling (within 90 days)
• Valid state driver’s license with clean motor vehicle record
• Option 1: 1 year of experience in plumbing, electrical, materials handling equipment, or related area
• Option 2: 2 years Walmart store experience

Responsabilités

• All primary responsibilities performed under direct supervision of an experienced technician
• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders and document activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Must maintain an excellent driving record

Key Responsibilities

• All primary responsibilities will be assisted or performed under the direct supervision of an experienced technician
• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely

Compensation

Minimum Qualifications

Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.

Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.

Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.

Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.

EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.

• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years. Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
