Job summary

Quicksilver Swimming in San Jose, CA is seeking a Site Lead to oversee a training site for ages 9-14, delivering a high-quality athlete experience.

The Site Lead will plan and run structured practices, coach multiple groups, and coordinate with coaching staff and parents while ensuring safety and a positive environment. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a competitive schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least two years of swim coaching experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively with athletes, families, and fellow coaches.
• Current USA Swimming coaching credential or the ability to obtain the required credentials upon hire.
• Background check and screening are required. Candidates must have or ability to obtain safety certifications including CPR and either coaches safety training or lifeguarding upon hire.

• Plan and deliver structured practices focused on technique, endurance, racing skills, and age-appropriate athlete development.
• Support and coordinate coaching staff at the assigned site.

• Monitor athlete progress, attendance, safety, and group development.
• Assist with peak meet preparation and on-deck coaching at assigned competitions.
• Maintain a safe and positive pool environment.

Job description

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:45–7:45 PM, plus weekend swim meets approximately once per month, plus light admin duties including email communication for the site

Classification: Full-time non-exempt

Compensation: $30- 35 / hr
