Job description

Position Overview

Developmental Math Adjunct Faculty – Part‑time, appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis. Pay ranges $793–$1278 per credit hour.

Responsibilities
  • Teach developmental math courses in‑person during day and/or evening sessions.
  • Maintain currency in teaching discipline and community college education trends.
  • Write syllabi, examinations, and assessment tools.
  • Develop learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments.
  • Assist students from diverse backgrounds and varying abilities.
  • May perform other duties as assigned, including emergency support for agency or state government.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to developmental mathematics.
  • Teaching or occupational experience related to the assignment or graduate coursework in developmental education.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments.
  • Experience working with students of varying abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mathematics.
  • Teaching experience at the college level.
