Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Developmental Technician specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance to join our Grand Junction store team. You’ll perform inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance to keep store facilities, equipment, and assets safe and fully functional.

You’ll work under supervision of the local Market Manager, follow established schedules, handle multiple crafts, and respond promptly to maintenance needs while upholding Walmart's safety standards and service excellence.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Certification for refrigerant handling and Type I/II as applicable.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean MVR.
• 1 year experience in plumbing/electrical/material handling or related area or 2 years Walmart store experience.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
• No DUI/DWI within last 5 years and clean driving record.
• No more than two moving violations in last 3 years.
• No preventable accidents with a commercial vehicle in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, repairs and maintenance under supervision of an experienced technician.
• Maintain Walmart facilities, equipment and assets using multiple crafts and hand/power tools.
• Use work order system to receive reactive repair tasks and document activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, diagnose and test facilities and equipment; ensure safe operation.
• Complete all required safety trainings and to operate equipment safely.
