Job summary
A nonprofit health and human services organization in Brookline is seeking a Residential Counselor to provide support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your role includes administering medication, assisting with daily living activities, and enhancing community connections. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or brain injury strongly preferred.
Strong time management and writing skills.
All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid US driver's license for at least 6 months.
Must be able to become CPR and First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment and MAP certified within 150 days of employment.
Must successfully complete Safety Care within 90 days.
Must be able to pass a CORI, reference, national fingerprinting and driving record check.
Responsibilities
Provide direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Collaborate with individuals served to build independence skills.
Administer medications and assist with daily living activities.
Strengthen residents' community connections through transportation.
