Job summary

Baystate Health, a not-for-profit healthcare system in western Massachusetts, invites applications for a developmental-behavioral pediatric specialist. Join a team of psychologists and pediatricians in a pediatric outpatient center with 15 specialty clinics and a diverse patient population.

You will perform multidisciplinary evaluations, teach residents, and contribute to innovative teaching and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• ABMS BE/BC Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities required.
• Experience collaborating with multiple divisions and schools is desirable.
• Willingness to engage in teaching and research activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide interdisciplinary developmental-behavioral evaluations for young children.
• Care for children with autism, intellectual disabilities, genetic disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Collaborate with Baystate Children's Hospital divisions, community resources, and schools.
• Lead teaching for interns and residents and participate in faculty activities at UMMS Chan- Baystate.
• Contribute to the educational mission and pursue research opportunities.

Job description

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region's largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate as well as Baystate Children's Hospital.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Join our team of two psychologists and one developmental behavioral pediatrician in our state-of-the-art pediatric specialty outpatient center which is home to 15 pediatric specialty clinics. We serve a vibrant and diverse patient population with many families who are multilingual.
• Provide interdisciplinary developmental-behavioral evaluations and care of young children with developmental and behavioral health needs including questions of autism, intellectual disabilities, genetic disorders, and other complex neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Collaboration with multiple divisions of Baystate Children's Hospital, community resources, and schools.
• Combination of clinical care and resident and medical student teaching with faculty appointment at UMMS Chan- Baystate.
• Lead in the development of innovative approaches to teaching interns and residents and oversee the educational mission of the division. Research opportunities available and encouraged.
• Flexible FTE- we are happy to consider those with full time or part time interests.
• Qualifications: ABMS BE/BC Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities.
• Our compensation package consists of a base salary of between $195,000- $242,500 (based on 1.0 FTE, experience level and qualifications) and annual incentive bonus opportunities.
