Job summary

Consolidated Nuclear Security seeks a Development Researcher to lead cutting-edge research with applications to manufacturing, production, or national programs. You will coordinate projects from inception to completion, prepare specs, and present findings to stakeholders.

The role interfaces with design agencies, vendors, and engineers to ensure successful outcomes in a laboratory environment. Preferred candidates hold an ABET-accredited degree (BS, MS or PhD) and have experience with welding

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering/physical science degree required or MS/PhD accepted.
  • GPA requirement up to 4 years post-graduation as documented by transcript.
  • Experience with welding techniques and metallurgical principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical projects from inception to completion with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare technical specifications and conduct design reviews.
  • Interface with design agencies, vendors, and contractors for cooperation.
  • Present work to personnel and other stakeholders and document results.
  • Support production, quality operations, and deployment of new materials.
