Job summary

SimonCRE is seeking a Project Manager to oversee development and construction phases, coordinating with the development team and external consultants to meet schedules and budget targets. You will hire architects, engineers, and third-party specialists, manage submissions, and represent SimonCRE at hearings as needed.

The ideal candidate has construction coordination experience and strong organizational and communication skills to drive project success and timely approvals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Construction coordination experience preferred.
• Understanding of development process including proformas, plan review, and development draws.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and calendar management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Acquisitions Team to develop the initial project schedule.
• Research municipality requirements to create a timeline for entitlement process.
• Hire all professional consultants including architect, engineers, landscape architect, surveyor, and others.
• Verify fees for consultants and keep proforma updated while on budget.
• Ensure all plans are complete and correct prior to submittal.
• Train Development Associates on procedures for submissions of entitlements, zoning, permits.
• Develop relationships with government officials for entitlement approvals.
• Coordinate with tenants during entitlement process and submit tenant due diligence packages on time.
• Ensure building permits are received on time and under budget.
• Collaborate with Dealmaker, Legal, Construction, and Dispositions teams.
