Job summary

Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) in Boston, MA seeks a Development Assistant to support the development team across major gifts, individual giving, research, foundation relations and events.

This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Senior Director of Development Operations and offers some opportunity for remote work.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Experience and a high degree of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with fundraising and communications databases is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to take initiative, solve problems, assess priorities, and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Enthusiasm for environmental issues and/or a background in environmental studies or advocacy is a plus.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Record all gifts in the Raiser’s Edge database in an accurate and timely manner and communicate gifts to key internal stakeholders.
• Print, assemble, and mail acknowledgment letters, including tracking hand-signed letters for timely review, signature, and mailing.
• Maintain accuracy in donor data and gift records, update biographical information, and assist with data entry and clean-up projects.
• Provide outstanding customer service in response to phone and email inquiries; support staff and donors and prepare donor communications as needed.
