Job description

* Focus on acquisition, retention, and reacquisition of prospects ($1,000 - $24,999) in the assigned region with a primary focus on unrestricted giving. Qualify and cultivate donors with the goal of increasing the donor’s support to leadership and major gift levels.* Work closely with all levels of development officers in the division to ensure short and long-term fundraising success. This role will be assigned to at least one Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in the division with travel expectations of 50%.* Help to create and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork that celebrates outcomes, builds individual and team capacity, and ensures that WashU UA is a preferred workplace.* Perform other duties as assigned.* Normal office environment* Ability to travel to various on- and off-campus locations- Experience soliciting gifts of $1,000 or more.* Up to 22 days of vacation, 10 recognized holidays, and sick time.* Competitive health insurance packages with priority appointments and lower copays/coinsurance.* Take advantage of our free Metro transit U-Pass for eligible employees.* WashU provides eligible employees with a defined contribution (403(b)) Retirement Savings Plan, which combines employee contributions and university contributions starting at 7%.* WashU covers the cost of tuition for you and your family, including dependent undergraduate-level college tuition up to 100% at WashU and 40% elsewhere after seven years with us.Washington University in St. Louis' collective success is significantly attributed to the passion and outstanding efforts of our community.
