Job summary

Missoula Writing Collaborative is seeking a full-time Director of Development and Marketing, based in Missoula, MT, with a hybrid work option. You will lead fundraising, grant writing, donor relations, and external communications to grow impact across western Montana.

Responsibilities include developing marketing plans, telling stories, managing donor data, and collaborating with staff and the Board. Salary $65,000–$70,000 with benefits and remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising and communications.
• Success writing grants for diverse funders and foundations.
• Experience guiding donors to make meaningful, sustained gifts.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement fundraising to support programs, operations and staff.
• Build upon fundraising plan and calendar with appeals and donor communications.
• Identify, research, and manage grants; write proposals and reports.
• Solicit new and steward existing donors; pursue major gifts.
• Create donor engagement opportunities via events and site visits.
• Develop partnerships for donations and sponsorships.
• Maintain donor data; generate actionable reports for leadership.
• Ensure timely donor communications and stewardship of gifts.
• Represent the organization professionally across settings.
