Job summary

Allyn seeks an experienced development professional in Dallas to lead nonprofit fundraising programs. You will manage client portfolios, research prospects, and oversee grant processes while crafting communications and ensuring donor stewardship across campaigns.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in nonprofit fundraising, excellent communications, and strong project-management skills, with familiarity in donor databases such as Bonterra, Salesforce and Raiser's Edge.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising principles and capital campaigns are a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of nonprofit clients and understand missions and fundraising priorities.
  • Research and screen prospects (individuals, corporations, foundations) for clients.
  • Research, write, and manage the grant process for corporate and foundation prospects.
  • Write communications for clients (emails, letters, presentations).
  • Coordinate donor stewardship processes and communications.
  • Track progress toward fundraising goals using shared documents.
  • Collaborate with the Allyn team to ensure effective project management.
  • Contribute strategic insights to improve fundraising outcomes and client services.
  • Coordinate internal and client-facing activities and events as needed.
  • Perform other duties to support the team.

Job description

Reports to the Vice President- Development. Supports client facing activities and provides strategic consultation and funds development support to a wide variety of projects and non-profit organizations.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Manage a portfolio of nonprofit clients, developing a deep understanding of each organization's mission, programs and fundraising priorities.
  • Research and screen prospects, individuals, corporations and foundations, for a variety of non-profit clients
  • Research, write and manage the grant process for corporate and foundation prospects
  • Write communications for a variety of clients, to include emails, letters, presentations
  • Coordinate and implement donor stewardship process for clients - donor follow up and communications
  • Track progress toward fundraising goals and activities through shared documents
  • Collaborate with full Allyn team to ensure client projects are managed effectively and efficiently
  • Contribute creative ideas and strategic insights to improve fundraising outcomes and client services
  • Coordinate internal and client-facing activities and events, as needed
  • Other duties to support the larger Allyn team, as assigned
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit funds development principles, with experience in capital campaign management a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills
  • Work effectively in a fast paced, open and supportive team environment
  • High degree of professionalism, sensitivity and integrity
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of G-Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of donor database platforms and grant tracking systems (ex. Bonterra, Salesforce, Raiser's Edge)
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in non-profit fundraising with a proven track record of raising funds across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated experience managing a grants process, from research to reporting
  • Experience supporting both annual and capital campaigns is a plus
