Job description

As a Development Intern on ENGIE North America’s Utility-Scale Development Team, you will work alongside lead developers who move solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects from concept toward commercial operation. Your day may include joining project-specific calls, capturing action items, coordinating with internal subject matter experts, researching market or agency information, and helping developers advance clearly defined project tasks. You will support multiple projects across the western United States, gaining exposure to site strategy, interconnection, environmental and permitting coordination, potential customers, power purchase arrangements, schedules, budgets, and project documentation. You will report to the Development team manager and receive assignments from lead developers based on project needs, with on-site guidance available in the office.

  • This is a part-time internship of up to 30 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility around the selected candidate’s academic schedule.
  • This role requires attendance at an ENGIE worksite. On-site work periods must be scheduled for at least four hours, generally across three or four days per week based on the agreed schedule.
  • The work environment is generally an office setting with a moderate noise level and no routine exposure to weather conditions. The role may involve some lifting and regular use of a personal computer and other standard office equipment.
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation

Hourly Range: $28.50 -32.50 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
