Arch Grants in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Development & Events Manager to lead donor-facing events and fundraising strategy.

You will plan a year‑round calendar, coordinate sponsorships, and partner with the Director of Impact & Partnerships to grow revenue and donor engagement. The role requires 2–3 years in nonprofit fundraising for events, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and willingness to work evenings and weekends at major events.

Qualifications

  • Two to three years of nonprofit fundraising experience with a focus on events and galas.
  • Proven success securing sponsorships and closing gifts.
  • Experience managing host committees, volunteers, and board engagement.
  • Understanding of how events support donor cultivation and long-term fundraising.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with donors and volunteers.
  • Strategic and detail-oriented; willingness to work evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a year-round calendar of fundraising, cultivation, and stewardship events.
  • Partner with development staff to identify, engage, and move donors through the cultivation cycle.
  • Track and follow up with event guests for ongoing giving.
  • Manage donor opportunities at program events: Finalist Pitch Day, Innovation Summit, Founder Summit.
  • Support Leadership Team in executing Arch Grants annual gala including timelines, sponsorship, volunteer recruitment and management.
  • Partner with Director of Impact and Partnerships to manage Host Committee, Gala Chairs and meetings.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-level donors ($1,000-$15,000).
  • Develop personalized cultivation and renewal strategies; identify upgrade opportunities.
  • Conduct outreach meetings and stewardship touchpoints; support pipeline development for major gifts.
  • Partner with Donor Relations Manager to ensure revenue tracking, acknowledgment coordination, and reporting.
  • Contribute to weekly revenue updates and campaign dashboards; identify opportunities to improve event revenue and donor experience.

Development & Events Manager

Role Overview

TheDevelopment &Events Manager playsa central rolein executing Arch Grants’ fundraising strategy.This positionleadsthe planning and execution of internal and external donor-facing events, ensures exceptional guest experiences, and supports year-round revenue growth through sponsorship management, donor cultivation, and committee coordination.

This is a revenue-driving role that blends strategic campaign execution, donor engagement, and operational excellence. The Development & Events Manager serves as the primary owner of event execution while partnering closely with the Director of Impact& Partnerships.

Primary Responsibilities
Event-Based Fundraising Strategy
  • Develop and manage a year-round calendar of fundraising, cultivation, and stewardship events. Our goal is to executeone permonth.
  • Partner with development staff tostrategicallyidentify, engage, and move donors through the cultivation cycle.
  • Partner with development staff to ensure event guests are tracked, qualified, and followed for ongoing giving.
  • Manage donor opportunities at program events: Finalist Pitch Day, Innovation Summit, Founder Summit
GalaManagement
  • Support Leadership Team in the execution of Arch Grants annual gala includingtimelines, sponsorship, volunteerrecruitmentand management.
  • Partner with Director of Impact and Partnerships to manageHost Committee, Gala Chairs and meetings andcommunication.
Mid-Level Donor Portfolio Management
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-level donors ($1,000-$15,000 range)
  • Develop and execute personalized cultivation and renewal strategies
  • Identifyand advance upgrade opportunities
  • Conduct outreach meetings(whenappropriate)and stewardship touchpoints
  • Support pipeline development for major gifts
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Partner with the Donor Relations Manager to ensureaccuraterevenue tracking, acknowledgment coordination, and reporting
  • Contribute to weekly revenue updates and campaign dashboards
  • Identifyopportunities to improve event revenue, donor experience, and engagement strategy
Qualifications
  • Two to threeyears of experience in nonprofit fundraising with a strong emphasis onspecial eventsand galas
  • Demonstrated success securing sponsorships, making solicitations, and closing gifts
  • Experience managing host committees, volunteers, and board engagement in fundraising events
  • Understanding of how events support donor cultivation and long-term fundraising
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with donors and volunteers
  • Ability to be both strategic and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working evenings and weekends as event schedules require
Work Environment & Benefits
