Job summary

We're hiring for a new position within Community Development on our permit review team. The Development Engineering Manager will lead our Development Engineering team, including two development review engineers and two infrastructure inspectors. This role blends technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to ensure high quality private infrastructure development.

It will also help coordinate workflow, improve processes, and strengthen how Community Development and Public Works work together. I’m looking for a leader who can support staff, solve problems, make sound decisions, and help us continue improving the development review and inspection process.

Salary Range:

$11,647 - $15,610 Per Month

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, seven years of engineering experience including five years of supervisory responsibility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to provide sufficient evidence of the successful performance of the essential elements of the job such as those listed above.

• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) within the State of Washington; if registered in another state, must obtain Washington State registration within six (6) months of hire.
• Valid WA State driver's license with a driving record that meets City standards.
