Job summary

MAC Incorporated is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Allendale, NJ to drive new product development from concept to production. You will lead NPI projects, translate designs into manufacturable solutions, and work closely with manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams.

The role requires 2+ years in engineering, experience with medical or metal manufacturing, and strong project management capabilities. Onsite role with frequent customer interactions and trade shows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years engineering experience.
• Medical device industry experience preferred.
• Experience with NPD, prototyping, or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong understanding of drawings, tolerances, and processes.
• Ability to translate designs into manufacturable solutions.
• Ability to travel for visits and trade shows.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and prototypes with customers.
• Lead engineering activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
• Translate customer concepts into manufacturable products and processes.
• Develop and validate manufacturing processes for new products.
• Support transition from R&D/prototype to full production.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
• Provide DFM feedback and technical recommendations.
• Prepare capability studies, reports, and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with quality requirements and specs.
• Research process improvements for manufacturability, quality, efficiency.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Production, R&D, Sales, and others.
• Serve as technical resource for internal teams and customers.
• Create and deliver customer presentations for new products.
