Job description

KARL STORZ is seeking a passionate and innovative Mechanical Engineer - Product Enhancement & Development III to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will drive the design and development of advanced medical devices, collaborating with cross-functional international teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficacy.

What you'll be doing :

  • Lead new product development, upgrades, and improvements for flexible endoscopes.
  • Design, test, and develop prototypes, including manufacturing transition.
  • Develop and refine test protocols and process documentation.
  • Investigate product failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support manufacturability of designs, ensuring product performance meets specifications.

What you'll need to be considered :

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a focus on mechanical design.
  • 6+ years of experience in design or project engineering.
  • 3+ years in medical product development.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
  • Experience leading project teams or supervising technical staff.
  • Tool shop experience and strong knowledge of standard engineering practices.
