Job summary

TMEIC is seeking a software engineer to research, develop, and deploy control software, graphics, and computer vision solutions. You will identify new technologies, evaluate their feasibility, and integrate them into power products with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a BS or higher in engineering/related field, 2 years of automation experience, and strong C++ with OpenCV/OpenGL/DirectX/C#. Travel up to 25% is expected, domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical, mechanical, software or related engineering; or related physical or applied science; or equivalent via education and/or work experience
• 2 years’ related experience designing and engineering automation or control systems
• Demonstrated software programming skills using C++ and/or more of the following (OpenCV, DirectX, OpenGL, C#)
• Demonstrated innovative problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
• Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
• Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25% of the time, often with limited notice

Responsibilities

• Identify new technologies with potential to address clients' needs or create demand through performance improvements
• Evaluate feasibility, cost, and benefits of new technologies for company systems and products
• Incorporate selected technologies into power products with internal and third-party teams
• Define modifications to tools and features for engineering and commissioning
• Coordinate with parent company to facilitate design and development planning
• Provide technical consulting, coaching, and training to engineering teams
• Support sales with technical presentations, proposals, and reviews
• Identify interfaces between complex software modules
• Write software modules to satisfy project requirements
• Ensure inter-operation of software modules in projects
• Design and conduct simulations to verify software against requirements
