Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska in Omaha seeks a Development Director to lead fundraising and marketing strategies that advance the organization’s mission, strengthen donor support, and expand community partnerships. You will work closely with the Executive Director to shape fund development and brand efforts across diverse audiences.

The role requires strategic planning, grant writing, and the ability to build long-term relationships with donors, boards, and partners; on-site collaboration

Qualifications

  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising and grant writing.
  • Ability to build donor relationships and steward volunteers and sponsors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and storytelling.
  • Strategic fundraising planning and donor diversification.
  • Experience coordinating marketing communications and external engagement.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Omaha, NE and attend events as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement donor cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  • Develop a diversified mix of donor sources and engagement programs.
  • Identify, qualify, solicit, and steward a portfolio of key donors.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor donor pipeline processes and reporting.
  • Research, write, and manage grants and related follow-up reports.
  • Report fundraising trends, issues, and results to the Executive Director and Board.
  • Lead external engagement, marketing, and communications to raise awareness and support.
