Job summary

Greater DC Diaper Bank seeks its first-ever Director of Development to join the leadership team and drive revenue growth. You will lead the development plan, manage grants, and oversee donor stewardship while collaborating with the Executive Director and board.

This full-time, hybrid role requires strategic vision and hands-on execution to expand philanthropic income for programs serving families in the Washington metro area.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree and 6–8 years in nonprofit development or fundraising.
• Experience as a fundraising generalist including institutional giving, major gifts, annual giving and corporate partnerships.
• Strong proposal writing and donor communications skills.
• Proven ability to manage development operations, CRM, budgets, and donor records.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy and annual plan to meet revenue goals and sustain program operations.
• Oversee grant writing, reporting, and relationships with foundations and corporations.
• Cultivate and solicit major gifts and donor opportunities in collaboration with the Executive Director.
• Manage donor stewardship activities and develop compelling fundraising messaging.
• Coordinate with leadership and volunteers to optimize fundraising campaigns and events.
