Job summary

Bartram’s Garden seeks a full-time Director of Development to oversee all fundraising activities within a strong and successful team. The Director reports to the Chief Advancement & Experience Officer and drives contributed income to support operations, programs, and capital initiatives.

With responsibility for major campaigns, ongoing donor relations, and event oversight, the role requires strategic planning, excellent communication, and the ability to grow an endowment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of nonprofit fundraising, with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to secure and manage major gifts, grants, and campaigns.
• Supervise staff and consultants with a mission-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee all fundraising with a $4–$5M annual target.
• Cultivate, secure, and manage grants and gifts from diverse sources.
• Develop and implement the 2028 capital campaign and endowment growth.
• Oversee galas, events, sponsorships, and donor outreach.
• Lead staff development, donor stewardship, and reporting to stakeholders.
