Job summary

Chicago Foundation for Women (CFW) is seeking a Director of Development to grow resources and sustainability. As a senior team member, you will conceive and implement an annual plan to raise over $5 million from individuals, events, foundations, and corporations, while leading the development team and representing the Foundation to donors and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the annual development plan and revenue projections, coordinating fundraising activities across individuals, events, foundations and corporations.
• Supervise daily Development staff, ensure internal coordination, and align work with the Foundation's priorities.
• Hire, fire, train and evaluate Development team members in coordination with HR and leadership.
• Staff the board’s Resource Development Committee and collaborate with leadership on programmatic priorities and donor strategies.
• Develop and implement annual development plans for tools like special events, direct mail, e-appeals, and personal solicitations.
• Monitor progress toward fundraising goals and adjust strategies as needed to grow donor support across all giving levels.
• Ensure timely submission of foundation and corporate proposals, budgets, and grant reports to maintain strong donor relations.
