Classics Northwest, based in Spokane, WA, seeks a Director of Development to build a fundraising program from the ground up. You will own donor strategy, CRM implementation, and relationship-building with executive leadership, pursuing multi-year growth and community impact.

Open to an entrepreneurial, autonomous fundraiser who loves classical music and can shape systems, culture, and donor engagement for a growing arts organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4–6 years of fundraising experience, including 3–5 years in a full-time role.
• Proven success in face-to-face solicitation of gifts of $50,000+.
• Strong proposal writing and donor communications.
• Self-starter with ability to build systems and operate autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of 200–300 donors with high-touch cultivation.
• Secure 3–6 major underwriting gifts of $20k–$50k annually and 6–10 sponsorships.
• Plan and execute at least three annual general solicitations to grow the Annual Fund.
• Lead CRM selection, migration, and donor data segmentation.
• Collaborate with ED and Artistic Director on donor communications and events.
• Attend public concerts and represent Classics Northwest in the community.
• Develop planned giving strategies for long-term sustainability.
