Job summary

The Alzheimer’s Association in Cleveland, OH seeks a Director, Development to lead fundraising programs and staff, building relationships with corporate partners and community leaders. You will drive Walk to End Alzheimer’s and related campaigns, coaching teams to exceed revenue and participation goals.

You will manage volunteers and staff, coordinate budgets and timelines, and travel up to 50% within the region, while delivering strong leadership and strategic fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in sales/business or related field.
• 5-7 years of proven experience recruiting and mobilizing volunteers and community leaders to achieve goals, preferably in a peer-to-peer fundraising environment OR successful experience leading a team to meet sales targets.
• Experience with mass market events like Walk is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of Walk to End Alzheimer’s® and Do What You Love to End ALZ to meet or exceed goals.
• Coach and mentor a team of staff and volunteers for event growth and revenue.
• Recruit, manage and empower volunteers and staff to implement best practices for fundraising campaigns.
• Develop and sustain corporate and community partnerships to drive revenue and participation.
• Oversee budgets, timelines and milestones and use data to influence outcomes.
