Sacramento Children's Home in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Development Coordinator to manage a portfolio of mid-level donors and key programs, including the Crisis Nursery Sustainers Circle.
You will engage with donors, attend community events, provide tours, and support grant research and sponsorship solicitations; collaborate with the Director of Philanthropy to meet department goals in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

The Development Coordinator is a crucial member of the Philanthropy team and is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of mid-level donors as well as several key development programs, including the Crisis Nursery Sustainers Circle; is community facing, responsible for meeting with donors, attending community events and providing tours; assists with grant research and solicitation as well as event sponsorship solicitations; works closely with the Director of Philanthropy to ensure that the Philanthropy team meets department goals and fulfills the philanthropic needs of the agency. The duties and responsibilities associated with this position may evolve as the needs of the Philanthropy department and the agency change; the ability to work in a flexible, ever-changing environment is essential.

Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. With ability to work outside normal work schedule as needed.
$31.50 - $35.43 per hour, to start
Driving is an essential function of this job, and as such, employees in this position will be required to furnish their own vehicle to be used in the course of employment. A valid CA driver’s license and minimum CA insurance coverage is required.
Must be at least 21 years old
A Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Service, Development, Business Administration, Sales or a similar related field is required.
At least 3 years of practical experience working in the fund development and/or fundraising field in a similar capacity is preferred.
