Job summary

Senior Helpers is seeking a Caregiver Development Coordinator in Wisconsin to train and mentor new caregivers, ensuring high-quality home care for our seniors. The role includes developing onboarding sessions, classroom training, and ongoing education to support staff success.

This full-time position requires travel between Racine and Milwaukee locations and to client homes, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Experience in senior care or home health is required.
  • Willingness to travel between Racine and Milwaukee offices and to client homes.
  • Strong presentation and training delivery skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding & classroom training: Lead orientation sessions for new hires and create custom training materials.
  • Level Up Classes: Conduct specialized training sessions, including dementia care and safety protocols.
  • Field & shadow training: Conduct hands-on training in client homes and introduce caregivers to seniors.
  • Shift coverage: Fill caregiving shifts in the field when urgent coverage is needed.

Caregiver Development Coordinator

Locations: Racine, WI & Milwaukee, WI (Must be able to travel between both offices and client homes)


Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 / hour


Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities


  • Onboarding & Classroom Training: Lead engaging orientation sessions for new hires and create custom PowerPoint presentations for onboarding and ongoing training modules.

  • Skill Advancement (\"Level Up\" Classes): Conduct specialized training sessions, including:

    • Senior Gems® Dementia & Alzheimer’s Care

    • Hoyer Lift & Transfer Techniques

    • CPR Certification & Safety Protocols



  • Field & Shadow Training: Conduct hands‑on shadow training in client homes, providing warm introductions between caregivers and seniors to ensure a smooth transition.

  • Shift Support: Step in to fill caregiving shifts in the field across all levels of care when urgent coverage is needed.


Job Requirements


  • Caregiver Experience: Proven hands‑on experience in senior care or home health (experience across all levels of care required).

  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel regularly between our Racine and Milwaukee office locations, as well as to client homes across the region.

  • Vehicle & License: Valid Driver’s License, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance.

  • Skills: Strong communication skills, comfort speaking in front of small groups, and basic computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Email).

  • Flexibility: Willingness to provide direct caregiving in the field on an as‑needed basis.
