Job summary

The Salvation Army in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking a fundraising professional to promote the organization’s mission and manage the Angel Tree program. This is a paid position with opportunities to collaborate with community partners and lead fundraising initiatives.

You will oversee direct mail campaigns, digital fundraising efforts, events, and volunteer recruitment, working with the Development team to expand donor engagement and visibility in Central Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Angel Tree: Sustain the Angel Tree Program in Central Kentucky.
• Echelon: Lead Staff for the Echelon Young Professionals Program; meet with community leaders and organizations to promote the program.
• Digital Fundraising: Oversee Kentucky Gives Day Digital Campaign (May); oversee Bluegrass Community Foundation Good Giving Challenge Campaign (November); manage CKAS Website.
• Direct Mail Campaign: Lead the Direct Mail Campaign; secure local stories for the campaign.
• Community Relations & Promotions: Represent The Salvation Army on local boards, Chambers of Commerce, and committees; collaborate with partner agencies.
• Development Team Responsibilities: Assist the Development Manager with contacts, monthly and weekly meetings, serve as community public relations contact; plan and implement fundraising events; assist with social media, website updates, special events, volunteer recruitment, training, and onboarding.
