Dallas College Foundation seeks a Development Coordinator to provide administrative and logistical support to the development team in Dallas. You will assist frontline fundraisers, support annual and planned giving programs, and help with prospect research while maintaining donor records.
This role also serves as backup for gift processing, ensures compliance with AFP standards, coordinates donor meetings, and helps with communications and fulfillment while upholding confidentiality and ethics.
The Development Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and logistical support to the Dallas College Foundation’s development team, ensuring smooth execution of fundraising activities and donor engagement. This role assists frontline fundraisers, supports annual and planned giving programs, and contributes to prospect research efforts. Additionally, the Development Coordinator serves as backup for gift processing to maintain continuity and accuracy in donor records and acknowledgments. By collaborating closely with the administration support team, this position enhances donor experience, upholds compliance standards, and advances the Foundation’s philanthropic mission.
Experience with gift processing or nonprofit event coordination. Familiarity with prospect research tools and practices (aligned with APRA guidelines). Advanced skills in Raiser’s Edge or Blackbaud products; experience with basic reporting or dashboards. Bilingual or multilingual capability.

Must communicate clearly, listen attentively, and write concisely using appropriate and effective communication tools. Must interact with high‑profile constituents and volunteers, meeting or exceeding metrics and goals. Must exhibit professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the Dallas College mission. Must adhere to ethical and confidentiality guidelines of Dallas College and the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA), as well as local, state, and federal laws governing fundraising and taxation. Must possess knowledge of philanthropy, mandatory obligations, research and cultivation practices, in‑person solicitation, gift processing, and fundraising reporting. Must have strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with demonstrated ability to create, implement, and monitor policies and procedures. Must possess verbal, written, and presentation skills and must serve as an advocate or spokesperson for Dallas College and the Dallas College Foundation, tailoring communications to various audiences. Must provide strong customer‑service‑aware interpersonal skills.
